I admit this year I havn’’t been on the ball with my Christmas shopping, having moved to Dorset for the Winter Months I’ve spent the last week grabbing idea’s of what to buy and have found some amazing gems of small businesses with some really wonderful gifts so I thought I would share my so far favourite finds with you and a lot also sell online so please do have a look from all area’s!

The only producers of this lovely cheese but also stocking great produce you can buy in pop up shops or online to make a great gift or just to add something special to the Christmas cheese board or cupboards.

Honeybuns also sell online and are based in Dorset with their yummy range of gluten free and even vegan cakes, they come in lovely tins to make a great gift and different varieties I promise if you have a look online you will be drooling like me!

Crafty barn is just down the road from me in Milton Abbas and has a range of crafts and items to buy something more personal this year, With Christmas trees in stock too and a tea rooms you can have a nice trip out while choosing some great gifts!

Cider cake, Cider and Fudge! I think that really says all I need to say! Cider cake how amazing does that sound. Made by a lovely little Somerset business and selling online too you all know what to get me this year.

A small business that makes me think of all us photographers out there in the winter months with those gloves to die for! they look so cosy and hoping to find some under my own tree. With such lovely handmade items and an etsy shop too to buy from.

I hate any zoo’s but Monkey world is so different and a sanctuary to primates rescued from many cruel situations such as lab’s and photographers props to give them a lovely life in the heart of Dorset. You can adopt a primate online which is great for the kids too and they have an online gift shop.

I would normally direct this at my wedding blogs but honestly what little girl and older girl for that wouldn’t love one of these beautiful beautiful tutu’s and also great for those booking photo shoots I adore them!

Another business I’ve just found which is local to me in Dorset making up hampers to your requirements with local produce, something a bit different as I love a hamper but always has half of it you love and half that stays in the cupboard the rest of the year so why not choose from such great local items to suit the person receiving or even treat yourself.

A dorset based Chocolate company with a large range of choice in yummy chocolates great for those like me who sit on Christmas morning opening presents and eating so many we can’t face Christmas dinner! They have an online shop with something for everyone and a lovely colourful website that makes you want to take it all home.

It takes a lot to make me want to buy cards and prints but when I came across these they really made me smile, The portraits are an amazing gift and the cards are not just going to get lost among all the other Christmas cards, they are so unique and fun and you can buy online too.
